Achille Earns an "A" on State Report Card

ALPHA Achille 2019

Bryan County School Gets Top Marks Five Times in a Row

ACHILLE, OKLA., April 17, 2019 – Achille students are making the grade.

AlphaPlus2019LogoSMWhen the State Department of Education released the new Oklahoma School Report Cards recently, Achille High School was one of just 23 high schools statewide to score an A on the state’s measure of academic performance for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years.

Even more impressive, Achille High School scored an A on each of the last five state school report cards.  Oklahoma’s new academic standards, tests and accountability requirements are much more rigorous now than they were for previous state reports (2012-2016).

“We know we aren’t the biggest school, but we consistently rank as one of the best,” said Rick Beene, Achille Superintendent. “Our teachers and our students work hard each day using aligned resources, and it shows.  At Achille, we can compete with anyone academically.”

Achille school administrators celebrated their high marks with Alpha Plus CEO Jan Barrick, who presented the school with an oversized report card following the release of the 2018 scores.

Alpha Plus partners with Achille to provide tools and training, teachers and administrators to help them better prepare students annually prepare for the state tests.

In addition to the A earned by the high school, Achille Elementary also scored well on the 2017-2018 test, finishing with a B on their Oklahoma School Report Card.

“The teachers and leadership team at Achille made this happen,” Barrick said. “They are dedicated to each student’s success, which is evident in these results. We’re proud to partner with Achille Public Schools.”
